Radical self-acceptance is in itself a revolution

... and it's often one that requires some sort of community in order to truly heal. Humans are not meant to go through life alone, we look to each other for guidance, for validation, but I truly believe we can only fully accept these things from the outside once we've been able to accept them from ourselves. Exploring the deeper connection we have to ourselves helps us more deeply connect to each other, and vice versa.

We're all in this together, including me. When I facilitate it's important for me to show up in the same way I expect attendees to show up: vulnerable + open.

The workshop format begins with open discussion around past and present environmental factors that influence the way we feel about and see ourselves. We'll move through breathing and somatic exercises, maybe a meditation to transition from this space into getting in front of the camera. I love to start with a group shoot and then break off into individual sessions that allow your new community to witness and encourage you through the process. To allow for maximum benefit for everyone, I keep this container small and max at 8 attendees for the 8 hour experience.

Your body is a sacred vessel of expression, connect with her as art, as wisdom, as truth.

If you don't feel ready to fully step into the community setting, an individual session may be a great entry point for you. We'll challenge old narratives you may have around nudity, shame, and self-criticism and begin reframing body image with compassion.

Immersive experiences to co-create your own self-liberation.

The same overall concept as a workshop, but with much more time to go deeper in conversation or themes, individual portraits, and an image review together before we part ways!

Hosting your own retreat? I'd love to collaborate on how an embodiment workshop might tie in!

How were you feeling after connecting with the group but before being photographed?

Much more connected to the group and to myself, having the space to share and explore my own thoughts on the subject and hold space for others as they shared vulnerably.

How did you feel during the shoot?

Giggly! I was laughing much more than I would have anticipated, especially based on how I was feeling going into the circle. It was almost like feeling beautiful from the inside out-- forgetting about my body at points and just being in community with the women.

What was your biggest takeaway from this experience?

That so much of what I perceive as beautiful is up to me and how it makes me feel, and that so much of what I had previously perceived as beautiful is mainly from what the outside world has thrusted upon me. It is like letting beauty be a personal preference, desire, and abundant in all things if our eyes are open enough.

How did you feel during the shoot?

Still a little awkward but I loved your energy and the questions you asked us. And the way you very gently hyped up our confidence.

How did you feel immediately after being photographed?

So good. It was such a sweet experience and bonding moment with some of my closest (and longest) friends.

Did anything come up for you in the hours, days, weeks following our session?

I wanted to do more photo shoots!! Definitely feel much more confident in front of a camera in general now.

What was your biggest takeaway from this experience?

How much the photographer can make a difference in the experience. You really made it a fun, loving, beautiful experience.
